This 2-hour workshop covers the techniques of preserving and mounting large beetles. Each participant will go home with their very own Fornassinus russus, velvety red flower beetle… what happens after that is between you and your maker; framed mount, or bell jar baby, the sky is the limit!  

*and you\’ll walk out knowing, only one beetle can fly with this misconceived but highly popular mounted flight pose (below;)…. and it isn\’t this guy!

While the specimen you receive has been made flexible and soft, additional dry specimens will be available for purchase, don\’t worry… we will cover all the things you need to know to get them ready for mounting in your own home, or by a ready-made kit for that budding entomologist you might have in mind!
