AUGUST 25 – RAT TAXIDERMY
Meddling with Nature is very excited to offer a Rat Taxidermy workshop August 25, hosted by yours truly Hail Dark Aesthetics Cincinnati – who houses the best selection of vinyl records and oddities around!
August 25 – Want to learn some simple taxidermy techniques? Why not start with a rat? In this 5 hour workshop participants will go from start to finish on a rat of their choosing. Each participant goes home with their very own critter to do with as they wish. We will instruct in both natural and anthropomorphic poses. This does require delicate hands, but if you are careful, you will certainly surprise yourself and friends with fantastic sculpture!
All supplies are included. The techniques you learn here will work on most small mammals. We will instruct on everything from glass eye painting to the many clays and tools needed to do this on your own in the future. Bring some ideas and some props to dress up your new baby! On the “gore scale” this ranks at about cooking level.
